Buyer’s Fee

At Hot Rods Trader, we believe in clear, upfront, and transparent pricing. A Buyer’s Fee—a percentage of the winning bid or "Buy Now" price—is charged to the winning bidder or buyer at the time of purchase. This Buyer's Fee is charged to the credit card you provide when placing a bid or selecting "Buy Now".

You will pay the listing's full purchase price directly to the seller, while Hot Rods Trader collects a 2% Buyer’s Fee (with a maximum of $2,000) as our marketplace fee.

๐Ÿ”ฅ We proudly offer one of the lowest Buyer’s Fees among online car marketplaces!

Buyer’s Fee Examples:

  • Purchase Price: $500 → Buyer’s Fee: $10

  • Purchase Price: $1,000 → Buyer’s Fee: $20

  • Purchase Price: $10,000 → Buyer’s Fee: $200

  • Purchase Price: $50,000 → Buyer’s Fee: $1,000

  • Purchase Price: $120,000 → Buyer’s Fee: $2,000 (capped at 4% of $100,000)

All Marketplace Fees Sales Are Final

When you place a bid or select "Buy Now", you are entering into a binding agreement. If you win an auction or make a purchase, you are legally required to complete the transaction.

Failure to pay the seller will result in:

  • Forfeiture of the Buyer’s Fee (non-refundable)

  • Immediate suspension or termination of your account

  • Loss of future bidding, buying, and selling privileges on Hot Rods Trader

โš ๏ธ All seller listing upgrades or other seller marketplace fees are non-refundable.

โš ๏ธ If a seller includes a return policy or guarantee with their listing, it is the seller's responsibility to manage any refunds for payments received from the buyer.  The Buyer's Fee on a listing with a return is non-refundable.

โœ… Refund exception: If the seller is unable to fulfill the vehicle or item purchased, you will receive a full refund of the Buyer’s Fee.
